The Organ in the Church of the Visitation

The new organ, new to us at least, has been in place and basically complete for some time. It has been blessed by the local bishop and used for the Sunday Eucharist and many other liturgies as well. In the time of COVID we have been confronted with the challenge of sharing this new instrument when large gatherings are not possible. Even the completion of the organ has been somewhat on hold during this time. At last we are approaching the official completion and inaugural recital. Stay tuned for more exciting news on that front. Meanwhile, here is a short and rather introspective organ work played on the organ by Daniel Susan. Elevation No. 1, Op. 32, Marcel Dupré. The organ is a 2019 Wigton/1975 Berghaus, two manuals, 17 ranks, mechanical key and stop action.
