Shrove Tuesday –

Beginning tomorrow, Ash Wednesday, the Alleluia will be set aside from the various liturgies of the community. From the Ordo: “Omit ‘Alleluia’ without exception until Easter; omit Te Deum and Gloria in Excelsis on Sundays until Easter.”

The Ash Wednesday Liturgy with the blessing and distribution of ashes will be celebrated at St. Augustine’s House at 8:30 in the morning.
